ATTENDING INDIE COMIX FEST
Attending Indie Comix Fest was an energising experience for me as a creator. Being surrounded by indie artists, writers, and storytellers instantly reminded me why I love making comics in the first place. The space was full of original ideas, personal stories, and passion-driven projects, which made the entire event feel inspiring rather than overwhelming. For me, the biggest highlight was interacting directly with readers and fellow creators. Talking about my work, getting honest reactions, and exchanging ideas helped me see my project from fresh perspectives. Every conversation-whether it was quick feedback or a longer discussion about process – added something valuable to my creative journey.
The fest was also a great learning experience. Seeing how different creators presented their work and handled layouts, merch, and pitches gave me insight into what works in an indie space. It pushed me to think more intentionally about how I showcase my own stories and visuals. Overall, attending Indie Comix Fest felt less like an event and more like being part of a growing creative community. I walked away motivated, clearer about my direction, and excited to keep building and sharing my work.
