The Ink-bound project is a work in progress, and I’m making steady strides right now to wrap up our script. I am at about 95%, with a few scenes and narrative layers still to go. A little extra time was spent on researching because the story actually leans toward the psychological thriller. I’ve been reading specific books and other materials to keep the narrative layered, true to life, and emotionally authentic. Writing a psychological thriller requires more than skimming the surface with plot movement, it must have layers of tension, internal conflict, and subtle mind-blowing turns. It’s taken longer to strike a balance between these aspects, but I believe that the final product will make up for this extra time spent. The missing final scenes are key to the tone and payoff of the work, so they need to be given the appropriate care and attention.
Visual Development: Aside from the scripting phase, I have started to think about conceptualizing the art style. The final appearance has not been set yet, but I have drawn and experimented with a few rough styles. There are many possibilities here, and I want to create a visual aesthetic that honors the surreal and tense environment I have in mind for the story, likely combining some moody contrasts, symbolic imagery, and distortion effects that are appropriate for a psychological story
