Hi, I’m Suvojit Pal, an art director and one of the winners in the WAVES 2025 Comic Creator Championship who loves combining eastern manga and western comics into the mythos of Indian culture. My biggest inspirations are cinema, anime, and Indian mythology.

I am Amay, and I fell in love with american and japanese comics growing up. To me, comics are the most available medium to tell a good visual story, and that’s what I aim to do. With Stranded, I aim to tell an emotional story set in the backdrop of a survival plot, where incoming death creates a bond between total strangers.

Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by all kinds of stories—from Arabian fantasies to superhero adventures and mystery thrillers. While my early exposure to comics came from characters like Spider-Man, Batman, Super Commando Dhruva, and Doga, my understanding of storytelling expanded as I explored video games, films, TV shows, novels, and plays. Since my college days, I’ve been working to blend these styles into the comic-book format, constantly practicing to sharpen my craft.
